Brilliant!

The first episode of Mr. Peabody and Sherman:

I saw it many years ago, loved the idea of the "Should Have Been" machine.

Minor observation: It could never be done today, certainly not the same way. Peabody is a "soldier of fortune" and his penthouse apartment has a bearskin rug and rifles on the wall.

I can't see the video here are work, but the bearskin rug made me think. We went to the Pink Palace Museum here in Memphis yesterday. They have an area dealing with life in early Memphis/Midsouth. As you progress in the 1910s/20s, there was an exhibit of a prosperous family's den. They had a tiger-skin run and it really bothered me. I admit that they're my favorite animal, but I couldn't get over it and just accept that it was a different time. Just goes to show how time has effected different generations.

Orphanage guy, objecting to Peabody wanting to adopt a boy: "But he's not even a person!"

"I consider that an excellent recommendation."

Hee! I had forgotten how good these were.

I loved watching Mr. Peabody as a child, and I still love watching that cartoon. Which says much about me.

But I started thinking as well. I don't have any rifles hanging on the walls. I need to fix that.

TW: bangling. Yes, as a youngster, one could consider me to be a bangling.
