THOMPSON/PALIN, 2012!
No time for a proper banner, though.
Iz out!

The adventures and semi-coherent ramblings of an overworked, middle-aged, libertarian-leaning, corporate drone who is immensely proud of his girls and his long-suffering wife. With maybe some gun stuff, travel stuff, cooking stuff, genealogy stuff, and other manly pursuits.

I'd vote for them
AAHHHHHH!!! NO MORE! IT JUST STOPPED!
Actually, I'm looking forward to Palin/Jindal in 2012, with Fred as the SecDef.
I just don't know if Thompson has or can get the fire in the belly. I used to think he did. Or I think he used to did, or something.
It's a great combo, though.
My prediction, not that earth-shattering: in 2 years the American people will do what we did in 1994, say "OMG what did we do", and put a Republican majority in the Senate and House. In 4 years, the American people will do what we did in 1980, and elect a good, strong conservative who will give us "Morning in America" again.
I am not looking forward to 4 years of MO scolding me about how mean I am. But we'll be all right.
Sorry about that, HH.
Teh Fred as SecDef. I like that. It would put the Fear of Fred in many.
Laura, we can only hope.
I'm hoping for Jindal/Palin, myself PG, but I'd be happy with any order of that pairing.
Heroditus Huxley, I'm with you.
PLEASE, NO MORE, I BEG YOU!!!!!
It's OK, though, I'll go shooting this weekend, and take my anger and frustration out on innocent paper targets.
No photos, though. Except maybe of Karl Marx, Che, and Osama bin Laden. For purely symbolic reasons, of course.
Alas, I don't think Fred would make a good candidate for Prez anymore. The last two times the Elephant Party ran an old guy, they got trounced. We need somebody younger.
Though Fred might work as Attorney General. He's played one on TV, which makes him at least as qualified for that position as the Socialist Bastard is for the one he just got.
He's also been a federal prosecutor in real life, so that would work well.
But I still like the idea of him putting the Fear of Fred in the hearts of evil-doers as SecDef.
I'm with PG.
