What's for dinner tonight, you ask?

I'm glad you asked. I'm making my first attempt at dove pie. I'll let you know how it goes.

UPDATE: It was excellent.

So what do you do to make doves into pie? Is it sauce and crusts?

Yeah, pretty much. I (slightly) adapted this recipe. There are more traditional southern type recipes out there I may try another time but this one's a gem (and it would be great also if you substituted chicken).

Truth be told, the pie crust didn't come out so well. I may just bow to reality and buy ready made next time.
