Skeletons

Oh, good lord.

Somehow, the TV got changed over to what I think is "60 Minutes". Some blurb about Ted Turner and Jane Fonda.

Oh, good lord.

Okay, in fairness, Fonda looks pretty good after all the surgery and what not.

Ted Turner, not so much. I don't remember how old he is but he doesn't look good for anyone under 80.

And Morley Safer? (N.B., I think it's Morley Safer, haven't watched the show in 30 years or so. But Morley (assuming it's Morley), dude, please retire. You look like a skeleton.

I remember Morley Safer being like a jillion years old back when my great-aunt religiously watched 60 Minutes...when I visited her in NYC in grade school...in the early 80's. FWIW, she died my sophomore year in college (1995) at the age of 86.

"60 Minutes" is the Old Folks' Home for senior CBS reporters. Last time I looked at it, all the hosts looked like that. Not a one of them was under 65. And that was several years ago.

Can't really blame them, I suppose. Makes sense that they'd want hosts that match their viewership. Gray-haired, liberal, and senile.
