And yet another celebrity death

Been a rough couple of weeks.
Oscar-winning actor Karl Malden dead at 97

LOS ANGELES – Karl Malden, the Academy Award-winning actor whose intelligent characterizations on stage, screen and television made him a star despite his plain looks, died Wednesday, his family said. He was 97.
His best role, in my humble opinion, was this one.

My absolute favorite as well, Mr. Summers.

I adored him.

Damn, I loved that guy. I'm most partial to his role in "Streets of San Francisco", but he was also great in the TV movie "Fatal Vision", where he plays the father of a murdered young woman. At first he firmly believes his son-in-law is innocent, but then he begins to doubt, and then realizes MacDonald is guilty. Malden portrayed an Everyman-turned-crusader like no one else could.
An amazing actor.

And that makes nine. In the past two months.

Makes me sad, because that kind of talent (most of them have been truly talented, with the exception of Billy Mays) will not come our way again.

I totally agree. He was Bradley in my mind

Yep, I also think he did a damn good job portraying Bradley. He had lots of successful roles and lived a long and full life. RIP.

Yes, I agree, Malden shined as Bradley.

Alas, a generation of greats are passing. The current generation, eh, we'll see.
